Privacy notice

Last updated 16 August 2026. This notice explains what happens to information when you use the Indian View website.

The short version

The public website has no customer accounts, contact form, online checkout or online payment. Building a call ticket does not place an order. Your ticket stays in your browser and the server never receives it.

When you visit the site

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, requested page, date and time, browser or device details, and security or diagnostic events. This supports delivery, security and troubleshooting. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy.

The public site does not set up a customer account or ask for payment details. Information you choose to give the team during a telephone call is handled so that Indian View can answer your query or take and prepare your order.

Your call ticket

Dish choices and quantities are saved in your browser’s local storage so the ticket can remain available between page views. They are not sent to Indian View, Cloudflare D1 or Google. You can remove them by clearing the ticket on the site or clearing this site’s storage in your browser.

Google reviews and resources

When the review feature is configured, the site fetches a limited set of Google Places reviews selected and ordered by Google for relevance. Indian View displays only written reviews rated four stars or higher and says so beside the reviews.

Displayed review data may include the rating, review text, relative publication time, contributor display name, contributor photo, profile link and a link to the review on Google Maps. Review content is fetched for display and is not stored in the Indian View D1 database.

The site loads Google-hosted fonts and may load a Google-hosted contributor photo when reviews are shown. Your browser can therefore connect to Google for those resources. Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Maps Platform Terms.

A published news or event post may include an image hosted on another HTTPS website. When that image appears, your browser connects to its host, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details under that host’s own privacy terms.

Directions open Google Maps, while social links open Facebook or Instagram. These are separate services that Indian View does not control. If you follow one of those links, the provider may receive technical information and will apply its own privacy choices, cookies and terms.

Management access

The management area is separate from the public site and is protected by Cloudflare Access. For authorised managers, Cloudflare processes the sign-in session and Indian View uses the verified email identity to control access and record content changes in an operational audit log. Cloudflare Access may use strictly necessary authentication cookies.

Why information is used and how long it remains

Indian View uses the limited information described above to provide the website, keep it secure, publish accurate business information and operate the management area. The usual basis is Indian View’s legitimate interest in running and protecting the service, or taking steps you ask for when you telephone.

A call ticket remains in your own browser until you clear it or your browser removes it. Google review content is not retained in D1. Management audit entries, including the verified manager email, are normally deleted after 180 days; Cloudflare’s own security and service records follow its separately configured retention periods.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
